Global Simulation, NVIDIA China and KunChen Carear, are holding a workshop in Beijing, China, on April 24 and 25 of the year 2012. The title of the workshop is TeraChem: Features and Applications. The purpose of the workshop is to promote GPU calculations in computational chemistry.
TeraChem is the first computational chemistry software written completely for Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). So far, it is the only GPU-accelerated quantum chemistry software that offers substantial speedups as compared to traditional CPU-based solutions. The core features of TeraChem are very fast ab initio molecular dynamics and density functional theory (DFT) methods. Applicability to nanoscale biomolecular systems with hundreds of atoms is arguably the most attractive features of TeraChem.
The workshop will include lectures on GPU/CUDA, theory, algorithms and features in TeraChem. Also the workshop will offer trainings to run TeraChem in computer lab, and discussions.
